El Paso, TX. native, with family roots in Spain, Curtis Hartvigsen claimed his 1st series’ Class Championship in his just his rookie season.  A thoughtful and meticulous Driver, he calculates the terrain, vehicle, and other competitors in assuring the right level of aggression to get the win.  Ever since his first vehicle (a 69’ Camaro SS), Curtis has performed top-level intersection donuts demos, loves multiple gear burnouts, doesn’t blink for sub 10-second ¼ miles, could be “the” Mr. Zeal.  When he’s not roosting competitors in the Mohave, Curtis is referred to as “The Healer” dedicating much of his time to helping others heal from injury ensuring return to a normal life.  Curtis is the Mr. Worldwide having lived and been welcomed in 27 different countries as well as spending time with the Aztecan Native American tribe in providing his healing services to those in need.

El Paso, TX. native, John Warren (aka “Wolverine”) smirks at danger, never backs away, but will politely encourage you not to fight him…as his list of wins is beyond counting.  Applying his expertise in hand-to-hand combat to racing, John is precise, powerful, aggressive, and easily endures to the end.  Having completed the Baja 1000 on his first attempt, John asked if he could loop it again “just to make sure”.  When not off-roading, you will find John at any road track on the West Coast or wondering through an endless journey in the desert, mountains, or sea.  Also an expert craftsman and musician, the sound that resonates from his custom build amplifiers is perfect pitch, just like his attention to the throttle.

El Paso, TX. native, Mike Mullen is “D1”.  Trained as an Olympic athlete, Mike does not tire, waver, or ever stop pushing the envelope towards perfection.  With multiple podium finishes in his Rookie year, Mike will not stop until he is the BEST.  Dedication to his craft is something he has been doing since 4yrs old., and while serious in his pursuits, Mikey will always keep it lighthearted and enjoying the moment.  A professional in organizational management, his planning goes hand-in-hand with his racing and the results speak for themselves!

El Paso, TX. native, George Saenz is the only Chuco Racing member that is not bilingual in our other language of Spanish.  But don’t let this fool you, George has more experience in desert racing than the entire team combined having competed in the purest of moto endurance racing; 2-stroke!  A skilled bowl skateboarder he also shares the teams’ passion for snowboarding some of the steepest, sketchiest, and most epic terrain.  A caring heart, yet also known as “Crazy George”, his reputation for handling situations will scare you one second and make you feel even more scared the next.  ALWAYS a good time with him and always keeping in real, George knows no other way.

El Paso, TX. native and Pro Class 10 Champion, Craig McGuire will always get it done.  The strategic thinker, he knows how to win championships while accurately pushing to the near-limit of the vehicle, terrain, and his competition.  A marksman off the course, Craig does not miss with any caliber while taking this precision to the race course.  Never giving up, he pushes the Chuco Crew out of their comfort zones and into a whole new level of what is possible.  From the highest peaks of the Rockies to the driest desert of West Texas, Craig knows land, its’ native inhabitants, and how to overcome the challenges of an unforgiving mother nature.  Craig is always by your side and will even push you uphill when you think it’s impossible.  Craig, aka “Moondu”, a champion of champions.

Splitting her time between the Chuco Racing and Gonzalez Racing, Emily Gonzalez brings precision, aggression, and a sense of elegance when piloting her Trophy-Lite #7288. She is current points leader in the SNORE racing championship series 7200 Pro class, in only her Rookie year, having moved in this class after many battles in
the MORE championship series 1300 class. While the number of female drivers is few in racing, Emily grins as she passes those having much more experience and even chuckles as the many Veterans over-drive and crash out; all while Emily runs a smart, thoughtful, and calculated race. In the stressful heat of race battles, Emily’s
words reflect her personality… ”Bailamos”.
